Sexual harassment is a growing problem throughout North American workplaces. Clients regularly come to Charles Novogrodsky and Associates describing problems that affect productivity - problems that are unknown to, or ignored or unrecognized by, supervisors and management until it is too late.
Companies incur significant costs when harassment, or allegation of harassment occur: legal fees; time lost to resolving thorny disputes; employee absenteeism; poor performance; work units where employees have taken sides against each other and poor public image that negatively affects recruitment and retention of the best performers.
Unearthing the causes of workplace harassment requires more than policy or complaints procedure. Addressing the causes of workplace harassment requires employees to understand attitudes that lead to unlawful or disruptive behaviour.
Red Light Yellow Light offers managers and supervisors specific practise in what to do when workplace behaviours enter the "caution zone". In Gender Sensitivity Coaching for Men, Michael marshals an exciting combination of talents as an educator, workshop leader, public speaker and advisor to do something that is unique in North America - he helps employees look at sexual harassment in the context of their assumptions about themselves and their relations with the other sex. The result is self-knowledge, a willingness to engage in constructive dialogue and greater skills in contributing to a harassment-free workplace..
In Gender Relations Management Training, Michael assists managers in particular to become skilled in leading a discrimination-free workplace.
